CEP 807 - Proseminar in Educational Technology Instructors: Mathew Koehler, Andrea Zellner, Josh Rosenberg, & Spencer GreenhalghThis is my last course to complete my Master's in Educational Technology (MAET) program at MSU. Currently, I am working on an online portfolio to summarize and showcase my work throughout the MAET program. The portfolio will also show the wide range of skills I've obtained while going to MSU. It will include the following pages: Home, About Me, Resume, Annotated Transcript, Showcase, Essays, My Classrooms, & a Blog.
CEP 815 - Technology and Leadership Instructors: Josh Rosenberg & Benjamin GleasonI am currently taking CEP 815. This course is to help us develop as a technology leader. It will also examine the aims of education, the history and evolution of technology, principles of leadership, and the intersection of these three elements. In the Policy Brief assignment we learned how the child, home, school, curriculum, teacher, and the approaches of teaching; can have an effect on student achievement.
TE 846 - Accommodating Differences in Literacy Learners Instructor: Lynne WatanabeI am currently taking TE 846 to satisfy the new reading requirement for the Michigan Professional Certificate. This course goes over developmental processes, instructional practices, and assessment principles that contribute to effective learning of reading and writing, while teaching methods for accommodating the different needs of individual literacy learners. An introduction presentation was first required in this course. It was a nonacademic introduction to myself that went over myself, career, and family. For our Final Project, I had to do a case study that focused on assessing and developing literacy instruction for a child.

CEP 800 - Learning in School and Other Settings Instructors: Sean Michael Leahy & Hannah KlautkeCEP 800 concentrated on the thorough understanding of numerous psychological perspectives with technology integration within the classroom and how students learn. One of our assignments was to interview a group of students on a particular subject that has misconceptions and create an audio production. My investigation was to find out from students which came first, the chicken or the egg. We also had to design a digital story using the Technology, Pedagogy, and Content Knowledge framework (TPACK).
CEP 822 - Approaches to Educational Research Instructors: David Wong & Tatyana LiThis course taught us how to analyze data and create graphs using Microsoft Excel. It was really informative and fun learning how to extract the data needed and make it more useful. During this course we also had to review 10-15 sources and create a Literature Review. My review focused on the impact of the heightened high school graduation requirements.

CEP 812 - Applying Educational Technology to Issues of Practice Instructor: Emily StoneIn CEP 812 we had to prepare a Personal Learning Plan (PLP) which required us to complete a self-reflection on what we know, want to know, and how would we implement it in a professional working environment. We also had to identify a Wicked Problem and create a clear path to overcome it and then implement technology as a possible solution to the problem. Towards the end of the course we had to do a Flipped Classroom model of professional development. The Flipped PD walks you through creating, naming, and sharing a Google Document. It also shows how you can work collaboratively with peers on the same document online to brainstorm ideas producing a more effective document.
